Pet Peeve II

1. The use of the phrase "He graduated high school," drives me crazy! This is a new expression that cropped up about one to two years ago and I want it stopped! Don't you realize how this drives your English teachers nuts? Is this some conspiracy or something? Didn't anyone teach you those little prepositions that form a phrase that gives the predicate the information about the subject? He graduated FROM high school!
2. I hate telephone calls from political PACs telling me they need money! Now lemme clue ya, if I thought they needed the money, I think I might be a little more sympathetic, but when each of these Rep/Dem parties spend enough money to buy the White House, I have a problem with this. Now these "parties" aren't going out of business; I am, but they aren't! But when they have the gall to call, they don't even speak to you live but with a recorded voice. Do people really donate to these people? Do they actually listen to the whole taped message?
3. My last "peeve" is people who walk down a road (and believe me, I'm not opposed to it), but when they do so in the middle of the road and then won't get out of the way when you come up behind them. My car isn't THAT quiet so I know they can hear me. No wonder road rage is a new psychological problem, and just what I needed, another psychological problem! AAARRRGGGHH!
