Dog crazy disease; immunize yourselves!

I've done it. I've adopted a rescue dog. I've been searching for awhile now to get another Springer Spaniel, but it just hasn't worked out. So I looked at all the animal shelters and I wanted to take them all home, so fortunately, I resisted. Then I found a website here in Maine that took in rescue dogs from other states that euthanize animals and this dog, Bernie, was next in line and the only reason he was there was because his family couldn't take care of him; he's only two yrs. old. He's half Cocker Spaniel and half Springer. I figured that was as close as I was going to get on the Springer part and he's the same color--liver and white--as my female. It should be interesting as I have never taken in a rescue dog before, but I went through the process: application, HOME visit, my vet being asked questions, etc, etc to make sure I was a fit parent. So I pick him up this weekend. I'll share some pictures of at some point. Why do I make my life more crazy than it is? Do NOT feel free to answer that last question, it was rhetorical!
