Pet Peeves

First and foremost, I have MANY pet peeves and I won't bore you with them all. But I do have a few and will "scatter-gun" some here.
1. I really dislike people when they drive as slow as death in the passing lane! It's their fault when I have to pass them on the right.
2. I get really angry when people say in response, "So don't I." It's "so DO I."
3. Keeping on with the English teacher in me, I really get disgusted with people who, after they've written something, pull out a thesaurus and just use any old synonym they've looked up. For example: I took a trip to the store to buy groceries. Instead of just leaving it like that, NO, they have to go and screw it up and show what idiots they are by saying something like this: I took a peregrination to the cache to buy comestibles. Now, who says that? Only a high school student who is trying to impress SOMEONE! Believe me, giving someone a thesaurus does not guarantee they have a high IQ!
4. Having someone call and tell me he/she will be right over and I wait for 2 freakin' hours!

I guess I've given off enough steam. . . I'm going out looking for the "pet peeve" police!

  1. Speaking of grammatical errors--I guess I've been hanging around you and my mother too long. My pet peeve is "Where are you at?" Between the "a" and the "t," DA!
